✅ Studio Rules
Clients are expected to treat all studio equipment with care and respect. While we acknowledge that natural wear and tear may occur through normal use, any damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or improper handling will be the full responsibility of the client. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by moving equipment, damage caused by dropping or knocking over equipment, damage caused by spilling food or drink on equipment. The client agrees to cover the cost of repair or replacement for any such damage as assessed by the studio. The following guidelines will prevent any such damage:
- No food or drink is to be consumed near equipment - particularly our SSL Origin console.
- Always ask studio staff if you would like to move a piece of equipment - for example, the vibraphone, a keyboard or piano.
- We are aware studio environments can get messy quickly, but take care when moving through busy studios - particularly when there are cables and equipment all over the space.
- Production teams are to remind visiting film crews that the studio is a functioning professional recording studio, not solely a film location - the studio equipment is functioning (and often fragile and often expensive), not props!
